A deposit equal to the first night's tariff will be charged to the guest’s credit card upon booking (a credit card is essential for booking). The balance of accommodation charges will be processed prior to check-in.
As there is no on-site reception, an SMS will be sent to the guest’s mobile telephone advising the address of the property, unit number and unique entry pin.
Rates may be subject to change prior to securing your booking.
Bluegum Apartments upholds a 72-hour cancellation policy.
Should a guest cancel a booking within 72 hours of arrival, the guest will forfeit the full amount of accommodation.
If reception is given adequate notification of cancellation, the deposit will be refunded via the original payment method.
Credit Card and Payment Policies
Credit Cards are required for all bookings - we do not accept cash.
A bond will be taken in the form of credit card pre-authorisation for an amount up to $500. Amounts vary depending on holidays, weekends, or special events. This amount is held for the duration of the stay. Credit card pre-authorisations may take up to seven days to be released by your bank, so please plan for this when booking.
The bond may be kept if the unit is left damaged or unusually untidy/dirty.
The bond will be kept if complaints are made by neighbours or other guests regarding noise, parties and disturbances.
We do not process charges to third party credit cards without written authorisation from the card holder.
All credit card charges will be subject to a bank surcharge.
American Express & Diners Club cards will attract a 3.5% credit card surcharge.
Need to extend your accommodation?
Extensions are available if the apartment is not booked for the required nights, and pending approval, the charges will apply to the guests credit card immediately and the standard cancellation policy applies.
The tariff for accommodation will be the best available rate at the time of extending the booking.
If the apartment is not available, we may offer alternate accommodation options at any of Newcastle Executive Apartments sites. Should the guest choose to accept to move to alternative accommodation, they will be liable for any difference in cost.
Out of consideration for all guests, we confirm that Bluegum Apartments enforces a No-Party Policy.
To ensure all guests enjoy the comfort and safety of the facilities we offer, Bluegum Apartments upholds a strict zero tolerance to parties and excessive noise. Any person found to be on our premises creating excessive noise, using bad or profane language, using illegal drugs, being drunk or disorderly, or exceeding the numbers of permitted guests will be evicted immediately.
The police may be contacted and guests will be financially liable for any damage caused. Guests who are displaying drunk, disorderly and generally aggressive behaviour towards other guests or neighbours will also face immediate eviction without warning.
If a guest is found to have breached the policy, no refund will be given. The guest will also be automatically black-listed from Bluegum Apartments and other affiliated accommodation establishments for any future reservation.
